For children, learning to become dry at night can be both rewarding and challenging at the same time. There's excitement, apprehension, disappointment and elation and for a child dealing with so many feelings and emotions in a short span of time can be so overwhelming!
By the time they've achieved their 14 dry nights, they've learnt and developed so much as an individual and gained important life skills that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.
These self-development achievements should be acknowledged and honoured in addition to achieving dry nights which what makes the Captain Dry Pants Program so unique.
Throughout their journey in the program and the missions, children have many opportunities to demonstrate their ability to take responsibility, practice resilience and increase their self confidence. Within each Captain Dry Pants Program are three important Honour Badge stickers and they are awarded by the parent to their child.
These Honour Badges are:
- Badge of Responsibility
- Badge of Resilience
- Badge of Self Confidence
Earning these badges are an integral part of the Captain Dry Pants Program as it acknowledges and celebrates these important life skills they've developed.
Children take great pride in placing their Honour Badge stickers on their Achievement Chart and is a beautiful reminder of their self-development achievements during this journey. These attributes are important life skills which will help them for the rest of their lives.
You will find an explanation of each Honour Badge on the main menu or you can visit them here:
